Council unanimously ended Flock agreement after resident concerns

“We were able to do police work before flock cameras, we'll be able to police work after Flock cameras.”

— Stoughton Police Chief Brandon Hill, as quoted by WMTV

WMTV reported that the Stoughton City Council unanimously voted on July 28 to terminate its Flock Safety agreement. The station said the cameras had been installed in May, after the agreement was signed the prior December.

According to the report, residents began raising questions and asking city officials for clarification soon after installation. Chief Brandon Hill said there were no plans at that time to replace the cameras with another ALPR system, and WMTV reported that the Flock cameras would be removed in the following days.
