Stow Police Department
MACameras removed after alleged personal database misuse
“Using that access for a personal purpose is a serious violation of that trust, and it is a crime.”
— Michael Sallese, Police Chief
Stow Police Chief Michael Sallese terminated the department’s relationship with Flock Safety after an internal investigation found that an officer allegedly used Flock and other law-enforcement databases for personal purposes. The final Flock camera was physically removed in early August.
The public release does not give a calendar day for that removal. The record uses Aug. 18, the verified public decision announcement date, while preserving the earlier removal timing in this narrative.
